AVS Aero Skin II

Just installed my bug shield. First day above 50* and no rain here in northern Indiana. Not super hard to install, but you better have it where you want it the first time. I think it looks pretty good. What do you all think?

Looks excellent! Pay close attention to the outer corners and how they are attached tot he hood with the double stick tape. Mine broke off after 4 years in the extreme cold and going down the freeway at 70 mph. I would have liked it better if it has a side piece that could attach to the hood lip with a self tapping screw. Some of the traditional bug shields attach like this.

That is my biggest complaint, I would have preferred some mounting screws somewhere with it.

Can you drill something near the edge (underneath) and put in a couple of screws or something?

There's one brand of bug deflector, (not and skin tight) that has a flange that fits on the sides of the hood lips and comes with self tapping screws.

Yeah but I had already ordered the Aero Skin and didn't want to mess with sending it back. We will see how it holds.

It'll do fine, just keep a watch. I haven't replaced mine and likely won't now that the roads that I was travelling on are repaired.

Looks really good against that red paint. Like the fit and finish. Nice quality product...

I installed the same one, I'll post pics tomorrow, the only issues I had was Fed-Ex or someone in a warehouse somewhere stepped on it and slightly creased the upper lip, nothing major. I like it, just remains to be seen how long the tape will last.

I have the regular aeroskin and it's holding fine now for 5 months. I do like the little wind deflector flange they added to the 2.

I like the look of it on the white. I see you put your flush with the lip of the hood. Mine would not lign up well enough so mine is about 1/16" up.

It's actually off a little, I tried my best to get it lined up properly, but as you said, you have to have where you want it the first time!😳
