I have a 1997 f150 Lariat truck. I was wondering how to turn off or quite the turn signal noise/sound. I'm not sure if it's in the instrument cluster or elsewhere.

 

I think the flasher itself still made the sound in those trucks. There are quieter ones available.

 

Do you know where i can get them or know what they're called?

 

It's called a turn signal flasher, and can be gotten at any parts store. It is in the dash to the right of the steering column.

 

There are two different flashers, one for the turn signals, one for the 4 way emergency flashers. Both look the same, but the 4 way flasher is a heavy duty unit, has a louder CLICK.

But the 4 way flasher was also used as the T/S flasher on Camper Specials and/or with trailer tow or installed for people that are deaf.

So most likely your T/S flasher is the 4 way heavy duty type. Replace it w/the T/S flasher that is barely audible.
