302 heads on a 351m

Welcome to FTE.
Are you building it into a 400 with some compression, a decent cam etc?
Or just a stock 351m?
In either event, 302 heads will not work. There is no reason to use a 302 head on that motor. If you did, you would have to seal water passages and make your own manifold or adapter plates a couple inches thick.
Cleveland heads on a 302 or 351W were (are) a performance upgrade, and the water passage and manifold issues have been addressed. With the advent of better aftermarket heads, making a "Cleavor" might be questionable at this point.

He said Victor Jr heads... Not only are they aluminum to help with compression temps but these things out flow 4v heads by a bit on the intake side and by a ton on the exhaust side all while having better port flow speed.
Now all that said the cooling passages are going to need to be fixed and you'll have to build a custom intake... O and because these heads are not canted valve heads you'll probably need custom pistons.
I would suggest selling these heads and buying some aluminum 351c heads. Over all I think you would come out ahead performance and cost wise due to all the custom stuff it will take to make the 302 heads work.
Haha another option could be to sell the short block and use these heads on a 351w block.

Modifying Vic Jr for 351M
For the cost, and time mocking a modern 302 VicJR head to a pavement pounding 351M, Quicker and Cheaper options exist. Bolt on Edelbrock Cleveland or Trick flow Powerport 195 would most likely have little if any intake fitment issues. The stock 2V Cleveland iron head is no slouch and should cleanup quite nicely and compete with the efficiency of modern aftermarket options. I mean, once you have the water passage converted, a suitable M/400 intake mating to windsor ports, then you can say you have 302 heads on a 351m. The only oddball thing is going to be explaining to diehard Ford guys is what you had to do about head bolts.

If I had those heads I think I'd build a 351W or better yet a stroked 351W for your truck. Nice set of heads for a Windsor engine, but not worth the hassle to try and make them work on a 335 series.
If you don't want to build up a 351W, I'd sell the heads and put the money into a 400 (crank and pistons), decent cam, etc, for the truck.
