coil capacitor missing

After changing the timing chains, guides, lash adjusters, I put it all together and didn't notice I pulled the capacitor off the harness on the driver's side. After putting it all together, the driver's side is dead. Would a missing cap. cause this?

Picture of capacitor attached.

No all that is for is preventing RF noise through the radio. You need to verify the cams are right. As I said before, if you set both sides to the L on the phasers then one side is 180 degrees out.

Thanks for the reply. Just double checking everything before I pull the valve cover again. Which I did and it looks like I'm an idiot that can't match two shapes together. Definitely a low point for me. Thanks for the help.

Not a problem. I'm not going to say how many times I have had one apart and forgot to install the crank sensor tone wheel.

I just went back and re-watched the video on u-tub by FordTechMakuloco and he did exactly what you said I did by lining up the "L" on both heads. Problem is I didn't line up the "L" on the right head. I was at the line. So which is it?

It doesnt matter which cam you change. Each mark on the phaser lines up every other engine revolution.
