Teeth Grill Color on 51-52
#2
Nobody really knows, not exactly. In both 1951 and 1952 model year literature it says the grilles were painted a "neutral Ivory paint which blends with any of the Standard Body Colors." No paint code has been found. This was discussed a few weeks ago in the below discussion thread in comparison to the 1953 and later models. It's been thought that the Sungate Ivory color described there for 1954 also applies to the earlier years. I've looked since that discussion and have found nothing stating its use even on the 1953 models either. The Sungate Ivory color is, though, as a practical matter, as close as you'll get. Stu

No way, Jose! I prefer the Ivory... but it is your truck and your back account.
Denny, well done, congrats. Even if it is with the Hot Rod! Your tail light... you have red dots instead of blue dots? Don't want to get a ticket?

Edit: that got me thinking, maybe that is why Ford went with Snow Shoe White on the grilles in 55 and 56 because they offered a two tone option and the white on the roof was Snow Shoe White whick would look better than an Ivory, I think..... Who knows?

Here is a previous post from Havi on 48-53 grill colors:

And here is a picture that I got somewhere. Not much help on color.
Personally I went with body color since my truck was never going to be stock from the day I first got it.
