Sparkplug change

With a 125K on the truck I finally got around to changing the plugs out or should I say 11 of the 16, I ran out of time.

The top 8 where a breeze to change out other than the electrical connection, those little red tabs just kick my rear end trying to get them out.

Now the bottom plugs are a different story. I started on the drivers side from rear to front. Taking the wheel well liner out certainly helped a lot and only took 5 minutes to remove. Multiple size of extensions are needed for the plugs but ran into a wall when I got to the front plug it sits right behind the front springs and has a metal tab that hold the manifold on that sticks out so I couldn't get my hands on the plug cap to remove without slicing my hand.

In a week or two when I can finish the plug change I'm taking the front wheels off so leverage and the 2 front plugs can be gotten to easier than wrestling over the wheel. Plus I need to get a plug cap puller.

All in all not so bad of a project.

How did they look? When I had the 100 k tuneup on my old 2000 V10, the plugs looked like they had a lot of life left.

They basically looked like this one a little bit of wear but couldn't feel any lose of power in the truck.

Best to change coz when they wear it puts more stress on coils then they go bad
