Hey guys. Post your good ole 460 mpgs here so we can all enjoy the life of filling up three times a day ! 😂 Iv got a 92 f350 crew cab long bed 4x4 currently sitting on 315/75R16 mud terrains gettin about 6 mpg
Ouch. My rig is a '90 F350 standard cab long bed, and it gets about 10 mpg flat. It doesn't care if you're in the city, on the highway, towing a trailer or hauling ***, it gets 10.
97 F-250HD, 4x4, E4OD, 4.10 LS, and it gets about 10 mpg driving through our mountain roads. Seems to be the same whether it's empty or has 3,000 lbs in the bed.
86 F-250 4:10 gears ported heads mostly on exhaust side with a 480 lift cam long tube headers dual exhaust all the way back and a Holley 670 carb I get 9 mpg and as Jacob Lowell said, empty or loaded, towing 25ft 5th wheel camper or not, uphill or downhill, wind in front or wind from behind it gets 9 mpg. But it will run like a raped ape and just love going up hills and these guys with there nice new trucks watch this 86 run right by them while I just smile and waive.....:-)
92 F250 SCLB 4x4 460 E4OD 3.55 gears. On a good day under ideal conditions, on the hwy 60-65 mph I can get 14. Have never topped that. More speed, towing, non-hwy etc. and it drops to 10. Which apparently isn't too bad. Over 270K original engine.
Haven't driven it in a long time. But was getting 8 mpg, mostly unloaded. Towing small trailers up to the largest one U-Haul rents, and it still calculated at 8. 460 - c-6 cclb 4x4. No idea what gears it has in it. I was thinking while I have it down for minor restorations about swapping a different trans in it, however based on these numbers, and the amount I plan to drive it, I don't think it'll be worth the cost.
