Look under your turbo to see if your fuel pump looks like this one. If it has the black disc then it's a Cali.

AD (or AB) code injectors will run identically to each other. Also, split-shot injectors on stock single shot tuning will run a bit weaker than stock AA or A0 injectors because the pulse width needs to be longer to get the same amount of fuel in the cylinder; the nozzles are the same size between all of the aforementioned injectors.

No black disk thingy on mine. Is there a possibility it still could be a Cali pickup even without that type of pump?

It is possible that someone changed the fuel pump and did t put a Cali pump back on it. What is the PCM code?

Yeah about that. . . I was trying to avoid unhooking the pcm to look for codes-its cold out! I
know I'll have to. Maybe tomorrow.

IIRC there's another sticker with the PCM code on the in-cab end, you can see by unbolting the parking brake pedal/release assembly and moving it aside.

You don't have to unhook the pcm to read it. You just need small inspection mirror or even shiny butter knife.

I have a federal Pcm with Cali strategy running AB splits.. Your best bet is having your truck pluged in at Ford and you'll get this. It'll tell you what the pcm is set up for.

I used my phone to get a pic of the code. It looks a little fuzzy but I think it says TDEO. Is that the pcm code?

It could be. When I bought the pickup it said 350,000 miles. A lot could have happened in 350,000. Is there a way to tell if it is a reman or at least not the original engine?
