I struggled with the manifold bolt closest to cylinder #4 (firewall side) with the manifold on... Even with fender and skirt off. What tricks do you all have?

 

clean the oil off,Go to you tube and check out the videos about candle wax for broken bolts, and studs. Heat the bolt with propane torch touch the surface with the wax. It penetrates the threads.

 

Thank you for the reply. For clarification, the bolt itself was not hard to get out. I'm hip on getting stuck bolts out at this point ��. This bolt was a very tight fit and getting access to the bolt with manifold on was my challenge.

 

You may be able to access it easier if you remove the transmission cover and reach it from inside the cab. I am not certain, but it may be worth considering.
