Light bar installed, now static on radio

Installed a 20'' light bar on my 2012 and when I turn on the Aux 1 uplifter switch my radio stations have static. This was not the case before the install.
I have the hot wire tied into the Aux 1 (25amp) switch. Ground is run to drivers side battery ground.
Do I need some kind of relay in line?

Many Thanks for your help.

Are you switching on a relay that gets the power directly from the battery?

I use two of upfitters switches for LED lights. One for the front 20" bar and one for two 6 bulb back up lights in my bumper, I have no problem, But my Upfitter switches run to a relay and the actual power for the lights comes from the batteries.

Hey stranger. What brand light bar? I'm guessing that has something to do with it. I've got 4 of the little square rigid lights tied to Aux 1, 2 small ones tied to Aux 4. No radio static at all. Mine are grounded to the frame up near the install point.

Might need to try the RF filter for your bar. We'll need to get together and compare light output one of these days.

just try an isolating relay, should eliminate interference. I had an '08 and put some hid's an they would flicker due to interference from computer. I put an isolating relay on the hot lead and fixed it. Also put the ground to the frame not the battery.
