Newbie here. I have a 2004 F250 FX4 with the 5.4L. The fuel gauge sometimes will not work at all, and after driving for a while, it will slowly raise to the appropriate level. Eventually, it just drops right down again.

Is this the pump? Faulty float/sending unit?
