Whitey goes to Texas

Glenn back in my hippy days (10 yrs ago) I always wanted to jump in the vw bus and head down to one of the off grid, not so legit spots. Not sure if that still exists down there as I think everyone in North America has figured it out now.

Now you have my curiosity up, lol!
haha Nate, just this last weekend in the park here was a gathering of old VW buses from all over the country! There was a lot of classics and some modified. One bus had a part of its roof cut out and a bug top sticking out of it, lol. Someone was talking about a place like that somewhere around Phoenix. Not sure if its still there? Not a very good picture with the sun NOT behind me.

I'm wondering where your cutting down south? If you were close I was going to see about sending some wheels out for Glenn. He wanted me to beam them but we don't have that going yet lol.. Not a big deal I have a family member that makes the trip a few times a year. I just missed a buddy that works turnarounds in cail by a day.

Not sure where your travels take you next but some of the best BBQ in all of the expanse of Texas is an hour or less from Dripping Springs. Franklins or micklethwaits in austin and blacks, smittys, or kreuz in Lockhart.

In a side note, I have some much needed down time in this warm Texas winter weather. Here is a photo of one side compounded. Can't tell much, but it is MUCH whiter...LOL!!

Had a pretty good and productive day today. Jarrett came over to the house to help me hang new glass on the front doors. Man they turned out great! No more cloudiness. Even more important though was just getting to hang with Jarrett and do truck stuff. He is one stand up dude. The beer was good, the company was good, and the glass looks great! Oh, we also hooked my truck up to his AE and it passed all tests, so that was a bonus. We got his CC fixed by replacing three bulbs as well as getting all of his brake lights working. Anyways, that is it for today. The visit is going well and I'll be seeing Travis on Tuesday. Stay tuned!
