Hi, I have a 1954 ford f-100 that I have added bucket seats, a 302 and a t-5 manual transmission on and was wondering If anyone has found or made a short shifter console ? I had to slice up my center floor panel because the trans was higher than the panel. the console needs to be about 2inches higher at the shifter. any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I got this console out of a Ford Escape and work great. I have a T5z transmission with the S-10 tail shaft. My 48 F1 cab is smaller then yours so I don't know if this will work for you.

 

Here's mine, and I have to give 50% credit (ok, probably a little more than 50%) to my interior guy, who was awesome. You can make it any height or dimension you want. The shift console slides into the storage console (the wood one), and all are covered in the same vinyl. The cue ball shifter was temporary has been replaced with a nicer one now.









Hard to see the storage console in the last one, it's squeezed between the seats, but we put a slide in the top for access, and used one of the left over dash ***** to open and close the slide.
