96 ford explorer xlt speedometer wire color?
Does anyone know what the speedo wire color is at the gauge cluster? I have the dash and cluster stripped out and its not going back in so im in need of a aftermarket speedo and need to know which wire to hook up to speedo

According to the 1996 Ford factory service manual, the wire at the instrument cluster from the VSS is a Gray wire with Black tracer. It is/was at terminal location 1 of the instrument cluster connector.
