Mine is blue but I have seen a lot of other colored beauties on this site.

Exactly, I was about to say I have no idea what color that is, but it looks sharp!!!

 

The '55 I had in high school was the color of Ringo's (#2). Black running boards, 'whatever' white wheels and grill with blackwalls. My '53 is tomato soup red but was originally Meadow Green. I'm really torn between the two. Maybe if I play around with the green a bit, a touch of metal or pearl...

I am very happy with the two tone look.

 

I plan to paint mine a dark blue one day but think the 53-56 trucks look nicest in red like Stephen's!

 

I did the F1 in original grey because I liked the fact that you don't see many around.
The F3 was green when I got it so green it is.

 

Nice stock truck! Are they both 49's? Which one did you have first?

 

Yes both '49s. Got the F1 in 1975 and the F3 in 2004. Both have stock engines.

My first choice would be "Meadow" on a '51 F1, Five Star Deluxe cab truck with a flathead V8 and three-on-the-tree. That was what I first learned to drive in the summer of 1960 when I was eight years old. I do like "light green" on my current '56 Effie. I think I have seen this color listed as "Meadow Mist" green.
