Brake lights, Hazards, turn signals quit working all at once. 2000 ford f250xlt 7.3l

I have checked all the fuses and seem good. I have replaced the hazard flasher, and the combination signal switch in the colluum. I have checked the bulbs and they are all ok. The running lights and headlights do work but that is it. I have been told to look for a loose ground wire but I dont know where to find the ground wires. Im trying really hard to fix this myself because I cant afford the shop. Any ideas of what I can do next? This is a 2000 Ford F250xlt 7.3L Diesel 2wd. thanks

Ground wires generally are screwed into the body - look around for a hanging or broken wire.

I have found one black wire that i dont remember hanging down. It is screwed to a metal plate under the dash to the right of the column. It looks like it is broke off something. There are a bunch of plugs n wires under the dash. How can I figure out where that wire may have broke off from? thanks

get a bright flashlight a just give a slow look around where the wire may have reached. If the screw holding it in fell out, look for a hole where it might have been screwed into.

Can always take it to a dealer. May be worth the $100 or so if they know what that wire is and if it will fix your problem
