F47 Dome light

Does anyone know how the dome light is secured above the rear window? There is just a block of wood with a light built in, but im not sure how to take it down without damaging it?

Light mounting

My interior light in my '50 F47 was attached to a wooden block that was secured to the rib of the back of the cab, above the window.

Dome light

If I recall correctly, it was screwed through the rib into the wood block.

That's exactly how mine is done as well.
I was wondering if that was factory or not. Sounds like it is!

I got it down last night, the two screws were hiding behind the rear window seal. Has anyone taken their apart? I assume the stainless bezel unscrews.

Manual

I took a look at the manual showing the dome light. Did not look at the light itself, I am using a light from my donor but the manual shows two screws on the trim late that allow removal of the trim ring and disassembly from there.

Mines buried in a snow bank right now. So there is no getting into my cab until spring.
