06 f350 stalling when brakes applied or steering whee turned
Hey I'm having an issue I just can't seem to make sense of, 2006 f350 6.0 once it's been running for a min or so it will die when brake is pressed, also dies when you turn the wheel. Can't find any rub through or bad wiring.if you up rpm slightly it will not die with brake or steering. Tried removing belt thinking it possibly was a pump and it doesn't die with the brake or steering but will die when going from drive to park. Thinking possible cps anyone see anything similar?has random cam and crank codes but I believe it's from it stalling. Sometimes it stalls while idling and will restate and die right away other times will idle for hours any help is appreciated
Seldom is the hpop bad on a 05 and up. More likely it's a leaking stc fitting or stand pipes/dummy plugs. Might not be the op's problem, more of an fyi
The load on the engine is causing something - on a small gas engine the revs would drop too much when turning the wheel at the stop and cause the same thing. Is it the load on the engine, or is the correction for the rpm drop going wrong?
We were heading towards load until we took belt off and it did it putting in park. Now this morning it won't stay running it just starts then dies right away. Has done it 20 times or so will not stay running
Do you have anything to read codes and monitor peramitors on the truck. You need to post some readings when it is running, like Ficm main lodgic and vehicle power readings. Or while cranking if a no start. And also check fuel filters and fuel pressure.
I am having the exact same problem performing all the exact same tests , was there a solution to this problem ?
If I were having this problem, I would pull all DTC's so I have record of them, reset the DTC's so I can see what eventually comes back, and then watch the following PID's KOEO, and when the stall happens.
FICM MPower
FICM LPower
FICM VPower
FICM Sync
Cam/Crank Sync (aka Sync)
VREF Voltage
Fuel Pulse Width
RPM
ICP Desired
ICP (Actual)
ICP Voltage
IPR%
Would like to see Fuel Pressure as well, but that requires some adapters and an aftermarket gauge/pressure sensor.
