Thanks for the clarification 'Thunderkiss65', and the extra details 'NumberDummy', '1972RedNeck'. I was getting to all that, but you beat me to it. My earlier post wasn't too clear, really meant to say to the OP that exact Ford '65 -'66 Styleside tailgates are not reproduced, if that is what he may want down the road. At least the newer ones are still available.

Is this the correct tailgate for 1964-66 ?

Yes Swoosh your pics are accurate. Now to confuse you all a buddy from the past who was born and raised on these trucks has a 1966 Mercury sales brochure. On a back page there is a very clear pic of a red 64-66 styleside box with a Mercury tailgate of the 67-72 vintage. The brochure is copywrited 1966 and the back window of the truck clearly shows it is a slick not a bumpside. I was Mr **** back then and pointed it out to him. The brochure came with the new truck in 1966 that his family bought and I ruined his day in 1994!
