I've use stockinteriors twice and have been pleased both times. My only complaint is that they shouldn't bother with the neat stitching on the edges. I'd rather just have a little extra carpet to trim back since the edges are all hidden anyway.

I did end up going with the ACC/stock interiors carpet with the thicker backing option. Quality is good, I went with a darker gray than the stock light gray color to hide dirt a little better.

The fact that it doesn't have any holes and needs trimming is a killer though, it took me an entire Saturday to get it in the car and the interior more or less in.

One other issue that I noticed is that with the extra backing the carpet under the throttle just barely clears at WOT. The floor mats I have will not fit undearneath. I'm hoping with a bit of break in it will settle a bit.

As I've said before, best bet for a rubber carpet is a junkyard carpet from a 1996 (only) that matches the body size and transmission of your truck.

It would not be economically feasible for them to make the holes in the carpet for you. Do you have a manual or auto trans. How about manual or auto transfer case? Do you have both or just one of those shifters? I used a technique that I saw on a show about partially installing the bolts for the seat belts and seats and using that as a guide for cutting an X in the carpet. On my Jeep I had to cut the outer edge to get it to clear the bracket in the kick panel area. I also purchased floor mats and the combination is too thick for WOT. I have removed the mat for now until the carpet relaxed a bit more.

For my pickup and the girlfriend's ZX2 I removed the carpet and cleaned it with the carpet cleaner machine.

Why do you say 96 only? Rubber floors were available from the factory since the 1st truck to current day

You're the last person I would expect to ask that!

Do you still like the carpet you got? Would you buy the same brand, with the thicker backing? I have my seat out and will probably try to clean the carpet but it looks terrible. Thanks.
