Mud bog Truck build question
Kind of an off-topic question, but best asked here. I'm curious about how the big mud bog trucks are built. I've gotten sucked into watching Triple-X Motorsport's Youtube channel and loving the big rigs.
It looks like a custom tube frame is welded up, a crate motor is loaded in and then a donor body is slapped on top. Is that about right? Where the heck do those monster axles come from? Are those custom jobbers or military surplus?
I've got zero skills do build something like that, but looks like a fun project...and expensive.

I pretty much got my fill of mud bogging with the Ford NAA tractor stuck with a full manure spreader behind it. How fast can you shift a constant mesh transmission back and forth from reverse to 2nd?
