Anybody have a clue what mounts here?
Right side of the transmission hump/console next to the fuse box on the '12 my wife and I just bought.
Lots of photos online showing the empty mount, but none found with that thing occupied so I have to ask what it's for.

 

See page 70 of your owner's manual and determine if that answers your question.

 

The lift out tray from the console storage area.

 

Yeah, found the book and saw that. Not as sexy as I was thinking is/was possible.
I like having the trays in the console much better.

But I also have a friend with a machine shop and I'm certain he can mill some plastic to fit those mounts and I can make much more usefull device mounts/trash bin/ect...
