Natural gas smell after shut off
I am aware of the exhaust smell in the cab after a hard excelleration. Knock on wood but we don't seem to have that. I notice the smell after my wife gets home parks in the garage. I can tell it is coming from the front of the vehicle. Seems to be stronger the warmer the vehicle is. Any ideas? Vehicle has 56k on the clock and this just started in the past couple of months.

The stuff they put in natural gas, which is odorless, is mercaptan. Sometimes it can have a similar smell to some sulfur compounds. Gear oil contains a lot of sulfur. That's one possibility. Also a malfunctioning catalytic converter will produce hydrogen sulfide gas (rotten egg smell). In small concentrations it could also smell like sulfur. I doubt you have a bad O2 sensor or it would throw a code but I've found that some brands of gasoline can make the converter stinky.
