New to me"88 150

Found a decent '88 150 with extra springs and sway bars, pretty clean frame and fairly low milage{111,00) on it's 5.0.But...I turned a simple water pump, and thermostat job into a major nightmare. The good news,I only broke one water pump bolt, but the bummer is,I broke both thermo housing bolts off.I used heat, but, somehow,I messed up.I did my best at drilling and tapping the intake, but managed to ruin it in the process.I couldn't sleep all night, and have kicked my own butt plenty.I have changed a 302 intake a year or so ago on my'72 302,so I think I can do the job,but Can anyone direct me to the correct lower efi base for a '88 f150 5.0? Thanks,I see the Edelbrock 3820,but I'm not sure if it will be the correct one for the '88 f150 5.0.Thanks all, hopefully this bullnose will see the dirt again soon.

'88 would be a brick nose.

Are you going to replace it with a stock lower intake?

Hey thanks nova,I wouldn't mind a stock one at all,if I can find one, they seem cheaper. If not,I'll go the aftermarket route like the Edelbrock. My concerns with a used stock one is warpage,or bad thermo housing holes like mine. The new aftermarket would cost a bit more, but will have clean threads, just don't know if there are any that will bolt up with all my factory parts/throttle body etc. Thanks for the bricknose correction. This '88 is a tuff looking 4x4.I have a '954x4 as well, and a '72 f100 2wd.thanks!
