If you have the factory manuals, this is all spelled out quite nicely in the first few pages...

Yes and no- While I have always appreciated factory manuals over the aftermarket offerings, the Ford manuals do not always follow a logical pattern- especially if you try to use the index... I got spoiled with aircraft service manuals- if you need specific info, there is a specific spot for it: but, unfortunately, while I love them and use them, my Ford manuals often get me scratching my head, cursing, and wasting a lot of time finding info... By the way- there are about 6 different manuals you'll need for an F-150! The Vol 1 Body manual, which handles body, frame, and running gear issues, the Vol. 2 Engine manual, which handles engine, fuel & exhaust, The Electric/vacuum manual, The "Specification Book- Truck 2 Light Duty" which gives all sorts of necessary specs.(including dimensional and torque), the emissions troubleshooting manual, the manual for owner maintenance, and if you are lucky enough to find one, a good factory parts book- because the guys at Ford no longer are able to track down parts for the early 90s trucks! I always like to have the factory part number as original to look for parts with...

Also, the pages are tissue paper thin- so try to avoid buying a used one without a cover- they molt... And unlike the newer Ford manuals, the early 90s ones don't have the nice ring binder holes, so you can't just drop them in a binder or get a post binder set for them... Wish I could.,..

And I seem to recall another one or two which aren't coming to mind!

Good luck with it!

Scott

The whole set, or just the two main volumes? If it is the whole set, that's a good deal... I picked up the Ford authorized cd for 91 a few months back, to augment the printed copy... Makes it easier to print a working set I can get dirty & dispose of when doing a job...

Thanks again Scott. Going to see if a CD is available for sure. Old school as I do like reading from a piece of paper and like the idea of printing and disposing as needed,

I know it's not the exact year but ford has the 1996(92-96 body style) manual for free download somewhere on their website.
