92 Ford Aerostar misfire, rough idle & running rich
First time posting, hope I'm putting it in the right section! Our 92 Aerostar 3.0 V6 seemed to stall on highway recently going 70mph. It acted like it couldn't accelerate and the gauges went haywire. It died but then started fine. Now at 70 mph, it stutters but not die and just when you think it's died or going to die, everything goes normal for another few miles. Also when idling after warmed up, engine is missing. We have troubleshot just about everything we can think of. It's not throwing codes. My geargead husband and several mechanics are stumped. HELP!?

Sounds like it could be a loose or corroded battery cable or other wiring issue. The original type battery cable has insulation that butts up to the battery or ring terminals and it can corrode internally where the corrosion can't be seen. The insulation will often swell and bulge in the area of corrosion and is often the only sign of a bad cable until issues happen like you describe.
