[QUOqTE=Mr. 3.73 gears;16843823]I'm not disclosing where I work or any other personal info. Believe what you want. I'm not trying to troll on here or cause trouble. Just call any dealership and ask if they carry the 6.2 with the 4.30's. Most don't. I'm not saying that's good or bad.[/QUOTE]
I told my dealer (he is the owner of the dealership) who I feel is a very good guy, that if he had some 4.3 Superduty's on the lot, he would sell them in a heartbeat. He looked at me like I was nuts (and I'm positive I was on all my meds because when I asked myself if I was I said yes) so I feel it must be something in the Ford philosophy that mandates all the 3.73's.

Tell your dealer to join this group and do a little research on here to better understand what customers really want.

Alot of the dealership people are lacking in information. Today I was at a Nissan place and I asked the difference between a titan and a titan xd. They didn't know.

A lot of buyers lack information as well. I'm willing to bet a dealer could stock nothing but 4.30s and 90% of buyers wouldn't ever know, or ask. Forum members only represent a minute portion of the clientele. It's a bold statement, I know, but people never cease to amaze me with their lack of information, or lack of desire to get better information.

Agreed. Best course of action would have been for me to head into dealership and pull it up on my phone (can't see anything on my phone in sunlight)

Note sure if I asked him to join, but I do remember I told him about the site and the consensus of needing more 4.3's on the lot. When I ordered my 2000 (different dealer) it was the same type reaction. It was a 250 Lariat V10 but with manual tranny and manual hubs. They were scared to death I would back out and they would be "stuck" with a truck they could not sell.
