1951 Ford F1 S
have a 1951 Ford F1 that my grandfather bought brand new. My dad inherited at 1981 when my grandfather passed. I inherited it in 1990 when my father passed. The truck was stolen 8 years ago I received Anonymous phone call two weeks ago about the whereabouts of this truck I would like to restore it back to original as possible where is a good place to start the cab and doors are in great shape the front fenders need to be replaced the back fenders are in great shape but the back body is in bad shape

Welcome to FTE! Glad to see you got a Rebuild thread started! I saw some of your other threads but it's nice to have one place you can post your progress and keep things organized. Your Truck history is similar to mine except mine was never stolen. Hope they didn't cause to much damage. Do you have a plan and time frame? Good luck and I look forward to seeing your progress. I just acquired a 51 F1 as well. I was not as fortunate as you to have my grandfather's truck also purchased new in 51, it has long since been consumed by tin worms. I would have still restored it, but the best I can track it was sold to the "scrap man" in late eighties. However, I did find an identical duplicate to what he had.
I look forward to following you progress.

After I sandblasted and primed my frame with SPI epoxy, I took the additional step and time to skim all of the pitted surfaces with Evercoat Rage Gold Body Filler. I sanded that smooth and shot 3 more coats of the SPI. Frame looks practically new.
Just a thought.
Looks good.

Hey Jimmie,
There is a member on here named "Reamer" who makes the best fitting cab corners
and other patches for our trucks. I tried LMC & a few other places first but the angles
were all wrong. Reamer also made us some sills & door jams as well... He saved me a lot
of time & effort. Do a search on his user name & you'll find his contact info. He's a fireman from Connecticut.
Looking good over there.
