2000 F150 loss of 4WD and wipers, power windows
Hi
I’d liked to start by saying I live in Bulgaria, going to the local dealer is not an option and buying parts often takes a month to get to me from the US. I have a 2000 F150 XLT
So last week I smell burning whilst I was driving, I think it was after I put the cruise control on. Loss of wipers, electric windows, interior light. I read on here it was fuse 15, cool I got home.
Now, I have lost 4 wheel drive, the ‘low range’ light comes on but no 4 wheel drive. Fuse 15 no longer blows but that’s because something somewhere has burnt out.
So my initial question is what colours are the wires from fuse 15 so I can trace them, the fuse box is half out but I've given up for today.
I have found the master cylinder sensor and removed the connector as I’ve read this can be the cause of the fuse blowing in the first place.
Is this fuse blowing and lack of power to windows etc related to the 4 wheel drive packing up?
For now I just want to find what has burnt out, I can still smell it but can’t see where it’s coming from.
Thanks for reading this far.

First here is a list of the circuits fuse 15 feeds.
1. Stop light switch for the speed control.
2. Brake shift interlock.
3. Gem module.
4. Anti Lock brake module.
.
Which functions does not work out of the 4 with the fuse in place?
That's the first clue.
The GEM maybe since it controls 4X4 and wipers plus other functions you may not have noticed yet.
Color code off the fuse is Lt Gn/ Rd to both the brake pedal switch and master cylinder switch to the Cruise Control.
Look at the master cylinder pressure switch area for fluid leaks. If yes do not reconnect due to fire hazard. This is a known fault which a mod was available using a smaller fuse in it's feed and replacing the switch.
.
The brake pedal switch to CC is lt Gn to a jumper for auto Trans to Tan/ lt Blu to CC.
Pressure switch to CC is Blk/Yel.
The rest I don't have handy.
Good luck.

An update. I got the fuse box out, that's where the smell of burning was coming from. I have ordered a new one, now the 3 week wait begins. The question is, what caused it? I read it can be a leaking windshield but it all seems dry under there. I really would like find the cause before I put a new one in.
