Evening all, ran the chainsaw for most of the day. Figure I have another 20 hours of cutting and hauling wood before I get everything cleaned up.

Good evening everyone. Got my CRF450X back together after a carb cleaning and new float needle. Started right up. Getting ready to sell/trade it for a two stroke.

Belated good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Got home from elk hunting a bit ago and got something hot to eat and drink. Ready for bed now.
We got to higher elevation and into some snow hunting a section of the boundary line area. Up hill climb all the way, but that means its downhill when getting back to the pickup.
Enough snow to cut tracks. Followed and found a heard of 40-50 elk. The problem is that they were about a 1/4 of a mile on the wrong side of the boundary line. We sat on a stump, camo'd in and watched, and then watched some more. Finally put them to bed as they seemed quite content where they were at and we were out of shooting light anyway.
Since we had planned on being back at the pickups a couple of hours earlier, that is where we had left the flashlights. Made for an interesting hike in the dark getting back.
So, day 1 goes to the elk.

The CR is very light, good power, easy to work on, and easy to find parts for at good prices, so that's what I'm leaning towards.

Morning all 33 and snowing some on the way in.
Yes, I have that much wood down at the compound, but about a quarter of that time will be hauling and stacking. Plenty of wood for the fireplace and fire pit for the next year.
