Happy New Year everyone.
As soon as it warms up a little, I'm heading out to check the rear brakes again. I found some information that indicates that I might have put the brake shoes on with the leading and trailing shoes on backwards. I installed them with the shortest pad as the leading shoe, but is looks like the leading shoe is the one with the thinnest pad rather than the shortest. I'm torn between wanting to have done it right the first time and a possible explanation for the vibration.

Some progress made. I pulled the rear drums, sanded the surface of the brake shoes clean, sanded the inside of the drums to break what little glaze has built up, and put it all back together. It still vibrates, but nothing like it used to. I also managed to get the brake squeal taken care of as well. I used the e-brake to isolate the vibrations to the rear of the truck. One thing I noticed on the test run this morning is that the vibration is there while cruising and is just more noticeable when braking. This leads me to think I've got a bad tire on one side or the other...

Afternoon All!
I went in to the shop this morning and unloaded Wild Hair. That was entertaining to say the least. The trailer guys weren't there, so I used two engine hoists to unload it. I picked it up, off the trailer, then turned it sideways. Then pulled the trailer out from under it, then turned it back the way it was and set it down. After the fun was over, I washed Tiff's truck so the trip to Michigan is just a memory now.

Sounds like you're getting it figured out Dave. This has been my last two days. Peeled siding, j-channel, soffit and channel. Caulked all seams and windows, spray foam insulated large gaps, butyl taped around all the windows, caulked again and put up tyvek. 30' down 200' to go, my best guess at least.
