'89 5.8L Oil Leak On Right Rear of Engine
This F-250 pours a fair amount of oil down the back side of the engine when running. It will make a noticeable cloud of smoke from the exhaust crossover when climbing a hill away from the sun.
I crawled under and could see it coming from the upper part of the engine, right side. So with much agony and misery I removed the plenum and replaced the valve cover gasket. However the old one did not look bad, and did not look like the leak was coming from quite that high. It was not the awfully placed PCV valve, either.
Where else could this oil be coming from?
