Brake Upgrade

Brake Upgrade
I'm finally getting around to putting brakes on our '09 F-250 SD.
I've kicked around putting braided stainless steel hoses on all 4 corners but there are some aspects of doing that upgrade that concern me a bit.
I've heard pros and cons on both sides of that debate but the one that concerns me the most is the stainless hoses are reported to getting grit and grime between the stainless braiding and the actual hose. Thus a wear point is created and can shorten the longevity of the hose and a catastrophic and loss of brake pressure without warning. I use this truck to tow about 90% of the yearly mileage and I DON'T want to worry about a leaking brake hose!!
Anyone have long term experience with stainless brake hoses on a unit that is primarily used as an on road vehicle?

A quality braided line will have a protective coating on the outside to stop dirt from getting to the braid. I installed Russell braided hoses two years ago on my f350 and what a world of difference it made. And yes I flush my system once a year and I adjusted the pushrod on the booster before also so the lines them self is what made the difference. Back on track here I hunt and ride motorcross so I'm always going through fields dirt roads etc for those activities and my Russell lines still look brand new. Two years now and that two winters in new Jersey where they use liquid brine to melt snow and then a sand/salt mix also and the coating on the fittings is still out of the box new looking.on a side note there's anything company I think k Crown? That offer quality braided hoses just like Russell but they offer different colored covering, so u can get red if your truck is red or green if it's green you get my point

Also I've owned a bunch of play trucks over the years now, they all have had extended braided lines. Some with a protective coating some just bare and I beat my play trucks! Sinking them in mud ever weekend and sometimes during the week, washing them is driving through the river or another mud hole LOL point is I've never had one blow or leak and I drive them to and from the places we wheel. Longest truck that has survived was five years and the guy I bought it from had the lift on it for three years before I bought it so that's eight years total with braided lines on an abused mud truck with no brake line failure
