Another bed cover discussion

I know there are other threads on this topic, but I want to focus on a specific question. I went from a 2011 F-350 LB to a 2017 F-250 SB. My 2011 had a Bakflip G2, that worked well for me (except for having the back window blocked with it folded all the way up).

I loaded up my ATV in 2017 to see how much clearance that I would have in the front with it in far enough to shut the tailgate. Looks like I only have about 2.5".

Is there a cover that will work without having to take it off when I load the ATV? I had really narrowed it down the Bakflip Fibermax or the Revolver X2, but it doesn't seem like either setup would allow enough room--looks like the frame will extend further than that (I'm not even sure just removing the cover would help--looks like even the frame might have to come out). I also like the looks of the Peragon, but that one seems to take up a lot of room when folded.

Getting my Line-x bedliner done tomorrow!

I have the access soft (roll up) cover on my f150. It has worked great, takes almost no room, and still looks and works like new after 7 years (garage kept). It takes very little room when rolled up and doesn't block the window.

Anything sticking up on my bed rails will make my fifth wheel more nose high, so I'll likely go with a Pace Edward's or Roll-N-Lock this time.

I have a Truxedo Lo Pro (soft) cover and love it. You have access all he way to true front of the bed and it rolls up in seconds.

I'm sure a soft cover would work, but I really want a hard cover.

Short bed...bummer man. I can't imagine ever buying another short bed. It's reasons like this that make the 8 foot standard bed the only way to go. Well that, and it looks WAAAYYYY better with the 8 foot bed.

Completely agree that the long bed looks better, but I rarely need that much bed space and I definitely like the fact that my truck will fit in a normal parking space (even though I tend to back in). I may wind up getting a long bed again next time, but I'm enjoying the short bed for now (with the exception of this bed cover dilemma).

I did the Diamondback. That way you can load the ATV on top and still have bed access.
