OT for all the Ford truck owners/beekeepers
I repurposed a Timken/Ford big truck axle housing to make a stand for my honey extractor. My wife and I finally got a chance to rob the honey supers off of our hives Christmas morning. The bees have plenty of honey in the top brood boxes and we need the do an oxalic acid treatment for mites. I will paint the stand later as we need to use the extractor this afternoon. I made it tall enough for a 5 gallon bucket to set under the spout. The stand is pretty heavy so I'm thinking it will be stable enough.
Thanks, Mark

bigwin56f100, We just got done extracting. We got about 6 gallons. I did have to put my foot on the bottom as I cranked, but it worked out really good. We didn't take into consideration the temp though. The honey doesn't flow thru the filter bag like it did this summer. Thank you for the reply.

I'm a keeper as well. Have an extractor on stock legs that creeps all over the place when I hand-crank it. Step on one leg to keep it from going too far.
But the thing disassembles and fits back in the box after I'm done with it. Storage is just as important to me as it sitting still.
Josh...I do have an extra 226 engine and crashbox with PTO capability. Hmmm, could rig something up. Probably 2nd gear would be a good match to keep the honeycomb from flying out of the frames and landing out in the yard.
Mark, you need some rubber axle bumpers under those legs and then it should stay put. Ford part number C6TZ-3020-A.
