Another thought: is the BLISS inherent in the vehicle just waiting for the input from the tail lights and activation? Or is there a separate module added to the system to interpret the data? In other words, could BLISS be an easily added feature with the correct tail lights with sensors?
edit and wiring harness.

Its a good question. You would need the mirrors with the small hidden amber lights in the glass, and there are also message center warnings about rear cross traffic, etc. There is also some programming in order to make BLIS work with a trailer (you have to input trailer length, etc).

I'm guessing the radar taillights, required body harnesses, mirrors and harnesses, and programming would be a whole lot more expensive than the $540 factory option.

There is a ballast.....

I'm not sure the wiring would all cross over. The LED headlights do not have amber parking lamps in them...instead they have configurable LED DRL lights. The signal driver for the turn signals may be different as well.

Yes, there is a ballast for the LED lights.. Part# FL3Z13C170A

That appears to be a HID ballast from an F150.

Could be...I'll look into that. But that part number is a ballast for the 2017 Super Duty. I looked it up. I sell parts for our Ford division at work.

While you're at it, look up the headlight and taillight numbers, please.

I stand corrected. It appears the ballast is for electricity regulation. Whether F-150 or Super Duty, it proves there is indeed a ballast for these lights.

It doesn't surprise me the part numbers would be the same. The LED light elements are identical between the SD and F-150.

Thanks
