Well the leak is fixed, since all i did was replace the o ribgvand spray the screen and regulator out with parts cleaner...i can assume the leak was from my o ring. I have no leaks yet...but i will be keeping an eye on that steel formed line that just slides into the bottom of the regulator.

You can installed it in half a day. As far as cost, it can run $450 to $1100 depending on whether you source the parts yourself or buy a pre-made kit. The benefits are far worth it. It eliminates 1000 leak points, provides steady fuel pressure, and improves filtration.

I spent a day making mine from a collection of parts. Wish I had done it years ago. Replacing the mechanical pump costs nearly the dame as buyING an electric pump from a SD. The cost of replacing a fuel bowl fliter is nearly the cost of two bases and one filter. Then you are looking at a little time to get it done.

well it started leaking again, i took the c clip out of the bottom of the reg and found a diced up o ring, replaced it and put the c clip back in. Hopefully this will FINALLY fix the leak for ahwhike anyways. Otherwise im out of ideas. I cannot afford the efuel fix yet, and besides after working on my truck all weekend, i need a break. Ill post a few pics of o ring and c clip i removed. Thats the c clip. The o ring is bellow the brass.

There ya go. The only thing with a leak is you just have to find it as frustrating as it is.

You have to place the o-ring on the plate first. If you drop in in the hole and then put the plate in, you'll cut it every time.

Free downloadable instructions are available on our website for the 6-002 fuel bowl reseal kit which will show how to properly do it.

I will buy that kit from your site, then i also will epoxi/glue/gasket maker or whatever the regulator bottom together. Then i dont have to worry about it leaking ever again. I will be doing the EFUEL on it as soon as i get $$$. But first i need tires, batteries, terminals, blank pedistal, exaust minifolds, up pipes, down pipes, exaust and injectors. I will probably do it when i change my injectors.

also, i did put it on the bottom piece first.

maybe need viton o rings??? Any suggestions where i can find a better o-ring for the bottom of my regulator? Otherwise im going to do as i said above.

Our kits have the Viton o-rings but the little trick of using a c-clamp to keep the plate from tipping is the key. We put 2 of these o-rings in our kit so you have 2 chances of being successful.

I would advise staying away from using any type of epoxy or even JB weld on the fuel bowl since the additives in ULSD will eat it away and then if you ever have to deal with it again, you will have a mess on your hands.

^^Absolutely follow this guys instructions. I did the same thing as you and cut 2 o-rings; I ended up calling him around 7 or 8 PM his time and he answered and walked me through how to do it right using the c-clamp. Then he sent me 2 new o-rings for nothing without me even asking. Once I did it right it never leaked again.
