460 2g to 3G alternator ?

And the 95A body is only 135mm in diameter.
The larger 148mm body of a 130A alternator requires clearancing (or just get the wider spread 8.25" mounting)
Earlier 3G's had an 8mm hole that can be tapped to 3/8-16 for the tension bolt. Later ones with the 10mm hole need to be helicoiled, or use a bolt & nut (but I don't have three hands to hold the pry bar and both wrenches)

Or, I just buy a 7" 3g 130 amp alt, and not have to deal with finding different brackets.
Jam a wrench on the bolt head then torque the nut down. Use a lock washer to keep the bolt from spinning when turning the ratchet.

I'm not sure on this.
Sorry, . I was thinking 1992....
If the larger (148mm) body of the 130A unit will fit the only concern might be clocking, and that is easy to change.

2G's come in two case sizes 95A 4 hole 135mm and 130A 2 hole 148mm diameter.
The case halves cannot interchange
Both current alternators come in a host of different mounting styles.
We have the 7" & 8.25" pivot mounts
8mm threaded or 10mm un-threaded.
There are also side mounts, and an odd 'V' style mount for mod motors.
Just choose the right donor and the most you have to do is clock it if the wires aren't pointing correctly for you.
