Agreed! But then I don't live in Texas or the south east! Nor is mine my daily driver.

The beast is 6 volt. I just got a 6 volt wiper motor for it so it will stayv6 volt.

Have a '51 F5 V8 6v works excellent. Keep in mind people got through Great Depression/Dust Bowl, WWII, Korean War, etc with 6v & no a/c.

I started this thread mainly to see who could use my 6 volt parts and extra bulbs. WOW, Did it take off!

People started out living in caves too.

I drove my truck through two summers in Tucson. Kinda sucked.

My truck has been six volt since 1949. I turn the key, push the button, and it starts. I've now driven it thousands of miles. It ain't really broken......so I'm not gonna fix it.

6 volt batteries last a lot longer than 12 volt. The only advantage to 12 volt is smaller wires can be used.

I had a 6 volt battery that lasted 10 years.
