2012 F250 No Radio Display

I've got a 2012 F250 XLT with AM/FM/CD/AUX radio, and the display is not working. The radio functions fine, as do all other electronics on the truck, but the display is dark. I've tried pulling Fuse #29 in the passenger kick panel, and it looked fine. Any other ideas or is my radio toast?

Thanks,
Doug

I had a 2014 F150 Lariat that did the same thing every once in awhile. It would not light up from a start but I could listen to it. I would shut the truck OFF - wait a few seconds and restart it. The radio ALWAYS came back ON. I figured it was one of those goofy gremlins in the truck. Only kept the F150 for a little while. Needed a bigger truck for towing the boats we work on.

same here on 2011.
if you press the screen with your thumb it will light up for a few seconds (or more) to set stations etc.
I've read here that you can touch up the solder connections in the radio. I'm planning to do an upgrade anyway to a big screen when i get around to it

I purchased my 2011 f250 in July. I had the same problem from day one. The dealer replaced the radio stating its a common problem with them.

so i just fixed mine. i found out that this was a common problem. i u tubed it and come to learn that you take the stereo out, and then four screws for the faceplate. it will slide out the chip board,. i simply re soldered the suggested resisters do a search for the videos on u tube. i did one for the removal, and one for the soldering. there is tons of them with the same problem and the same fix. it takes less than 3 minutes to remove and i spent another 5 soldering. put it back in and faceplate works just fine. hope this helps.
