Time for Engine Dyno with YOU TUBE video link and Dyno results
After some waiting my buddy, Clarke Hinkle has my 289 almost ready to start on the Dyno machine. He is going to try and start it tomorrow and I can't be there because of sitting with my cousin at the hospital while his wife has cancer surgery and Clarke is having elbow surgery Thursday. After he heals up some I will go up to Kentucky to his shop and we will play with it before I bring it home but he will send me a video of it running before his surgery and I will post it.
That's way cool except of course for your cousins wife's cancer. I've had a Harley Dyno tested years ago but never a V8. The results are very telling. Armed with the results of the Dyno, I always knew exactly when and where to grab a handful when I wanted to challenge a buddy on the freeway. It always helps knowing exactly where your power band is. Well I hope you enjoy the process, and of course prayers are out for your cousins wife.
Thanks Jim. The dyno results are back and he said it started good and runs great and sounds good with good oil pressure. 320 Ft pounds of torque at 4800 rpms with 298 HP. Not bad for a 40 over 289 with a mild cam. I tried to download the video but the file is too large
Ah Tracy, a nice fresh motor with enough umph to enjoy yourself, you lucky dog you. I bet you cant wait to get it home and all bolted up nice and pretty, another major step for sure. Keep On Rocking On.
Does the link not work Albug? I am not sure how it's set up. Thanks Tom
The link just takes you to your FB page. Your page doesn't have any new entries or links. Did you put it on You Tube first? If so, just copy and paste a link to in here.

I don't have a you tube account and I will try and set my FB page so anyone can see it. Other then getting you tube to work I guess I can't show it running on the dyno. Thanks
