1979 F150 Ranger Lariat 400ci C6 auto, NP205 Transfer case, 68K mi, Runs like a dream!

Looking to trade this wonderful truck for any 4wd 79 or earlier F series 4x4. As long as the truck is bulletproof mechanically and has heat, i might be interested. My reason for trade is simple: guilt! I need an everyday work truck, and this thing is too special of a story for that, and I don't have the cash to buy a second truck. I bought this truck from a dealership this past August. It was originally purchased in 1979 by the owner of the Ford Dealership that I bought it at! It's spent it's whole life in that little town. So although it was "sold" twice, essentially passed down the family, the truck spent it's life getting taken care of in that dealership. This truck has true potential for a knockout stock restore or sweet 4wd fully capable cruiser, but I'm looking for a truck that runs as good, or better(good luck ) as this one and that I can get scratched up without constantly thinking how I ripped this poor truck from it's garage life! ha.

odometer read 61k when I got it. 68 thousand now. They swore up and down it's original.
Third oil change, by me, this week since i've owned it. I've used Motocraft Filter and Oil.

The only thing I've had to do to it is have the radiator re-cored. The silver haired owner of the shop I took it to, said, "Son, I'm a mopar man myself. But that's one of the nicest trucks to ever come in my shop." I was blown away. He checked my axel fluids and a whole bunch of other stuff other than radiator because he said he wanted "to just see how it looked" haha! everything looked great he said.

It will need front brake pads soon

And the turn signals recently stopped working, I haven't looked but don't expect anything major.

The truck has an upgraded alternator, but the original one is still there.

The front gas tank was removed due to lack of use.

The tires are 31x10.50 STT Pro with 7k miles and still look brand new

A newer exhaust, but still original manifolds.

Copy of original title(when i got it Titled in GA they took the orginal! original bill of sale, original ordering sheet, all original paperwork you could probably think of.

even the radio "works" although i can't pick up any stations, but it turns on.

Positrac rear end

Brake assist package

Factory installed Ford Train Horn, vacuum driven, but I'm not sure how it was activated. The railroad is what this small town was built around, so it's very fitting.

Cab lights

PM me or respond or whatever and ill get you my number and we'll talk if your interested.

I'm in the Chattanooga Area

Really this truck has been a pleasure every day to drive. starts right up (for a 70s 400ci) on cold mornings and the heater gets the cab nice and toasty quickly.

I hate to trade, but I'll feel better knowing it's getting cared for. Thanks!

You might as well hang a price tag on it.

If someone brought me a truck worth around 8000, that would probably work, give or take.
