I need to put in some new glass on my '50 F1 doors and was wondering how hard is it to do?
I assume it needs to be correct left to right in the regulator, but how do I figure what "correct" is?
What is used to secure the glass once it is set?

I don't think it's that difficult to set the glass in the channel. You need some of this glass setting tape. It comes in different thicknesses. Someone should be able to give you more detailed info on the install. ,Doug

 

This image should give you a reference as to where to put the glass in the channel. I used a moving blanket folded over several times as a surface, with the top end of the glass down. Then I folded the setting tape over the bottom of the glass and used a rubber hammer to tap the channel over the tape and glass. I had a friend assist with holding the glass steady so my hands were free for the hammer and channel alignment.

 

I am not looking forward to doing the glass in my trucks. Give my any metal or engine work and im fine. Glass will only explain why they call me a bull in the china shop.
