What is in the center of the two front seats? 2010 Expedition

Hi all, I've just purchased a 2010 expedition el. It is the standard model. There is nothing between the driver and passenger front seats. My seats also do not have arm rests. My passengers are complaining. I cannot find what I need online to fill this void. All pictures online show the shifter there as part of a center console- my shifter is on the steering column. What goes here? There are no brackets or anything, just some cuts in the floor. For what it is worth, my interior floors are black vinyl if that tells you anything about the trim level of my model. Pictures, or even model numbers/links would be super helpful. Thank you guys.

That is a Special Service Vehicle (SSV). They are used as police cars mostly, and there is no console because that is where the radio and computer stack usually gets installed. A regular console will fit if you can find one at a junkyard, but you will have an opening for the floor shifter you don't have. You could also look up consoles that are typically installed in police vehicles to see if there is one that would work better. They do usually have arm rests. Havis Shields is one manufacturer that makes a ton of consoles.

Interesting that it is a SSV, ive heard that it was a fleet vehicle to grab parts and drive around some employees, never for any police duty. There is no evidence of any police equipment and the former paperwork proves that it was owned by some company a few cities over and used as a fleet vehicle. Anyways, what I was really wondering is would it be possible to put a mini jump seat in there that folds down to double as an arm rest? Is there even anything like that available?

Doesn't matter what they used it for, it is SSV trim. I'd look at getting a console from a previous generation which had a column shifter.
