RDS 51gal Auxiliary tank/ tool box came damaged and Duce 2 cover
So, I picked up my box from freight Monday and was going to start the install. After removing the cardboard, I tried to open the top and it was hard to open. After getting it opened in tried to close it. it wouldn't close. I found that the corner on the right side of box was damaged and the front and right side lip on the box was skewed in towards the inside of box. Now I have to try and get a replacement. I ordered on line through Northern Tool. I could repair it myself, but it's the principle.
the lip on the box is skewed to the damaged corner. i could take a mallet and straighten the lip for the top to close but it would take tome to fix the corner and not sure tool box would seal good. might get water in tool box area

Looks like it got dropped in shipping. I hate ordering big/heavy items for shipment. I ordered a champion inverter generator a couple years ago, and it showed up damaged. I had to ship it back, and have another one shipped. the second one showed up fine. the shipping co's just don't care.

I knew it would be taken care of. I talked to RDS and RDS, got in touch with Northern tools and arranged everything. Northern tools arranged to have it picked up and they placed an order to have another one shipped to me. I told RDS, that ABF freight is going to deny the damage since I signed saying the there was no damage. When I picked it up the box sitting on the pallet it didn't have a dent or marking on the cardboard box it was in, so I had reason not to take it. You can bet I'll the cardboard box will be coming off this one before I sign for it.
The main hassle here is my 5th wheel will be built 12/12-12/16 this next week and than picked up by my dealer. I wanted to have the tank in, before I put the Companion hitch in and the bed cover, plus I had a friend lined up who has a heated shop to help me. Just need to rearrange and get it done before the RV gets here. Everyone I worked with was every helpful.

Tuxedo Duce 2 Damaged too
I went to install my Bed Cover today. l noticed that the passenger side hinged rail that something just didn't look right. I noticed the hinge was broken and the 2 1/2" bed rail that is hinged and lifts up is missing fron the box. I'm thinking what tha... First the auxiliary tank damaged and now this. I called Tuxedo and they are shipping me a new rail out, hopefully today. The freight company picked up the damaged one last night and I'm still waiting on the replacement. one thing I don't like about Northern Tools is there is no delivery information . I'm not sure if is because some items are shipped from manufacturer or what, but there should be a way of tracking items . I even called them yesterday and the person was supposed to email me...but nothing.
