Welcome to FTE! There are lots of great people here that are willing to answer just about any question. Repeatedly...

Anyway, I think that spring is required. Seems to me that the kit is short...

The kit in the pic should be the one for 11" brakes. The spring you have appears to be from an F250 12" rear brake. How it got onto your truck is ?. Btw, the engine in your truck would be a 360. The last year for the 352 was 1967.

I will measure them again but i believe it was 11x2 brakes. the motor at some point got swapped out. the stamp on the block says its a 352. the spring i am looking for measure 7 3/4 in rom hook to hook

The Ford mpc DOES show a shoe-to-shoe return spring. (2) are included in kit # D9AZ-2A225-A. Green Sales shows 15 in stock. Call them and see if it is what you are looking for. This number does not cross into any aftermarket part. Green Sales Co. 1-800-543-4959

This is the wrong part number, it's for misc. cars with 10" brakes. There is a D9AZ-2A225-B kit, but...

It's not correct for 1973/75 F100 4WD's with 11" x 2" front brakes, as the primary brake return spring is wrong.

It's only correct for 1973/75 E200's with front drum brakes and the 11" x 2 1/4" rear brakes of 1973/79 E100/150 & F100/150 & Bronco.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B5A-2035-A .. Primary Brake Return Spring - color coded blue / Obsolete ~ Available NOS & from auto parts stores.

1959/63 F100 2WD/4WD (front/rear) / 1964/75 F100 4WD (front) / 1955/59 Ford Passenger Cars / 1955/60 Thunderbird.

C0MM-2035-A .. Secondary Brake Return Spring - color coded black / Available NOS & from auto parts stores.

1967/75 F100 4WD (front) / Misc: 1960/72 Passenger Cars.

C3AZ-2035-A .. Brake Return Spring (shoe to shoe) - color coded red / Obsolete ~ Available from auto parts stores.

1966/75 F100 4WD (front) / Misc: 1963/79 Passenger Cars.

If y'all want the sources for B5A-2035-A (Green Sales only has 1) and C0MM-2035-A .. I'll list them.

No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has C3AZ-2035-A

Sometimes, on side jobs, I drive an older-than-dirt itself Kenworth dump truck with no front brakes...apparently they were optional in the 70s...? Luckily it doesn't really go too fast either.
