Here is the link to the boot. If I recall correctly it was a little big and may need to be crimped slightly to make it fit.

I'm not sure who or how your MSD was wired up.
So there is no computer in this truck, I found these wires and did some research and saw this article https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/2...-f-series.html and the information below is what I have gotten out of it

"Carefully inspect all of the 2 wire plug connectors on top of the left (driver) fender well. There should be a plug connector with one green wire and one black wire which is bound to the harness that leads from the firewall. For all 6 cylinder engines, connect only the green wire to the tachometer output of the MSD or Crane ignition module. If you don't know which is the tachometer lead wire, go to the web site for MSD or Crane and look up the module you have. There will be instructions for wire colors and list the function at the web site. If you have an 8 cylinder engine, you will need to hook up the same green wire to the tachometer lead wire of your module but also run a good ground wire from chassis to the back wire on this plug. It is okay to cut off the plug connector at this point so you can make good connection to the wire(s). Chances are, unless you plan to restore the truck back to factory stock, you will never use the plug connectors again anyway." i will give this a try and go from there, Is there anyway to test the gauge with ground or somthing? currently it is stuck fully to right usually they go to left. Thank you all - Brown

For the temp and oil pressure gauges, once you find the red/white or the white/red, turn the key to run but don't start the truck. Get someone to watch the gauge as you take the red/white and or the white/red and touch it to a bare metal spot on the engine. When you do this the gauge should swing back and forth as you touch the wire to the metal and then take it off the metal. You may have to wait on them a little bit, the gauges move slow.

For the tach, find the proper wire, turn the key to run, engine off, and take the wire and touch it on and off to the metal really fast. What also will make the tach needle flicker is to take the strands of the wire and spread them out and then lightly drag them across the metal. What you need to do is ground and unground this wire very quickly, and the tach will read this. In reality that is all it does, is read the ignition module grounding and ungrounding the coil negative.
