Same here, played with regular(87) and premium(93) over the summer towing. Never really saw a difference in performance or mpg. Will continue using regular, since its way cheaper than premium.

Good to know you are experiencing no problem with regular fuel in the turbocharged motors. My 5.0 V8 should have no problem on regular.

I see that the new Raptor only has an 89 minimum - there was some fear that the high output engine would require 91 but Ford seems to think 89 is just fine.

Minimum for the Raptor is 87 octane.

I run 92 octane in mine. mainly used for towing.

My '99 Taurus was more sensitive to fuel brands and octane ratings than my ecoboost has has been. I really don't pay attention to the brand but I do pump 87 all the time.

I've never done an experiment with a higher octane fuel but I am curious as to whether or not it would be pay for itself in fuel savings. I suspect not.

I don't think you'll see any difference. The page from the manual that Biz4Two posted earlier in this thread is for his MY truck. Ford has softened the text in the 2016 manual, so I think it's only recommended when you're towing near the upper limits.
