Battery size and location

Thinking about where the battery should be for a long time too long time to do it.
Unless some one comes up with a great idea it's going behind the seats so speak up fast.

I saw Jimmys on the run board looks good but not for me
PO had it on the firewall but it ripped the wall and needed more room.
Ok what size 24 a little big

Racing battery to much $$$ Prius? With a 302 and AC what do you think using good cables
Min CC?

Battery lication

Roy
I have been struggling with battery location as well. I have a fairly small battery and would like to mount it in the stock location, but there is very little room. It would interfere with the oil and trans dip sticks. My wife doesn't want the battery in the cab, so my only other option would be to put it in the bed.

I don't have room to put the battery along the frame, so options are limited.

Looking forward to suggestions from the experts here on FTE. Thanks for starting this thread.

Take care

Dan

Roy I think behind the seat would work well as long as you use an Ultima type battery that doesn't have the gassing that could be explosive. If you plan on any kind of center console it could be built into it. Or you could use a drop down box if you have the real estate on the frame. Just thinking out loud, you can always tell when Im thinking, because of the echo LOL. Anyhow, "keep on Rocking On"

What about using the opposite side of the engine. V8 is on passenger side and inline 6 is on drivers side. Maybe more room on the other side??????

Mine is in the "trunk"
Not very big battery, size is from a 1995 camaro but the battery box will hold a larger one. Trunk is also a good place to put the jack and misc tools.

If you dont want something that big you could always use an old coke or pepsi cooler box, ammo box, just about anything will work to hide it.

I would not be concerned about using a sealed gel type battery in the cab if you have the space but that is your choice.

If you have the cash check out something like the PC925L Odyssey - Extreme Series Battery. They are super small and made for hot rods. They are around $175 which is more than a regular battery but not much more than a new regular size red top.

Mine is mounted behind the front passenger side tire in the back of the fender.
I'll look for a pic.

Not a great pic but just shows the bottom corner.
