Okay no takers on the picture. Can anyone tell me what the payload would be as configured?

The ford specs say F250 CCSB 4x4 should be 3450 max payload, but I have no idea what the KR package weights.

Thanks,

I'm guessing around 2500 lbs.

Heck, I have no idea. Let me check.

I don't know how much weight the Platinum Ultimate package adds vs. the KR Loaded; but I suspect if you're hoping for anything close to 3,450, short of an F350, you are about to be disappointed.

I was shocked when I looked at mine (shown below). I even went to a CAT scale and weighed it. Doing the math, my sticker is within a 38 pounds of reality. (Reality is worse -- 1,720); and that's assuming it's just me and my EDC under the rear seat, hitch, etc.

I think you'll be around 2500# payload. Your 6.2 weighs about 750# less than the 6.7 in Robert's truck above.

Thanks,
My 6.2 xlt with value package was at 3260. You will be under that for sure.

It might even be a bigger difference than that for the gas 250 thanks to the lighter torqshift-G transmission and the Sterling 10.5. The 350 gas has the 6R140 and supposedly the Dana M275 rear diff (tho I've seen reports its a Sterling).

If one compares the F350 CCSB gas with 10k GVWR downgrade with similar F250 CCSB gas which also has 10k GVWR, the 250 has 210 lbs greater payload capacity.

Based on that 200 lb difference, my guess is 2500 + 210 or approx 2700 lbs for OP's truck.

One of the heaviest add-ons in these loaded trucks is probably the glass roof, so anyone greatly concerned about losing legal carrying capacity may want to skip that option.

I did not know that. In hindsight, I unknowingly worked hard to reduce my payload. I guess I wasn't thinking at the time that pretty much everything you want on your truck costs you payload, but of course it makes sense in hindsight.

My hat's off to OP (and most of you here) for thinking about this on the way in.

At the end of the day, my towing capacity is enough for what I want/need to do -- for bumper pull -- so I got lucky.

I do find it greatly limits me for fifth wheel so I guess I'll wait until I get a bigger DRW (or get something like this http://www.automatedsafetyhitch.com/) for that.

My 2016 KR F250 CCSB 6.7L 4x4 with sunroof was 2030 lbs. I was disappointed but the 6.2 and lighter transmission and aluminum body will help. I also think about 2500-2700lbs is what you can expect.

^^^ Regarding the twin panel moonroof, the 15+ F150 owners say its a 64 lb penalty, so its same for the SD since they share the same cab.

What really sucks is the 65lb's in the rear tire.
It's a BS. downgrade.
It's the only difference between my 250 and a 350,
in my model year.

Also the fact that the 64# moon roof costs you 96# of fifth wheel capacity. Some of us find out too late that while more stable, and providing more storage, fifth wheels exact a 15% penalty (usually) on payload where as bumper pull tends to exact a 10% penalty on payload. So anyone considering payload should be mindful that it gets used up very quickly on a fifth wheel vs a bumper hitch if they intend to pull.

Interesting data. I tried to access the ebook site for 2017 but it is a secure ford website that only employees have access to.

Thank for the info.
